Vortic Careers: Assembly Room Logistics Associate
Vortic Watch Company is in need of a full-time associate to assist our Watchmaking and Operations teams in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Vortic salvages and restores antique American pocket watch movements and converts them into one-of-a-kind wristwatches.
The position involves helping our Watchmaking team with the inventory and logistics process behind building custom watches and maintaining and improving Vortic’s data systems. The candidate will also have the opportunity to build watches when needed and assist our Operations team with packaging, shipping, laser engraving, and other workshop organization duties.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, a quick learner, and willing to do anything from cleaning and organizing the shop to organizing inventory data in a spreadsheet. The focus of this position is to free up our watchmaking staff to do what they do best and to improve our overall organization and efficiency.
Learning the history and makeup of the watches we build is important to the position. This takes time and training; just like assembly. Early on the job will focus on learning and training. Eventually, the candidate will assist with assembly part-time, as needed, and be allowed to make improvements to processes when appropriate.
The schedule is 7 am to 6 pm Monday through Thursday (a 4-day workweek).
All work is done in Vortic’s new building in downtown Fort Collins, Colorado. Requests for relocation assistance will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All positions are salaried with benefits.
The starting salary is $45,000/year but will depend on experience. Please feel free to contact us with clarifying questions.
The candidate may start as soon as possible. Please plan on 2-3 months of training, education, and collaboration as this is a new position.
