Watch Description

What makes the Lancaster 075 unique:

The Lancaster 075 is a stunning tribute to American innovation, combining horological mastery with automotive heritage. Its brushed champagne dial features bold, applied numerals with an aged patina, and at its heart is the iconic “Ask the Man Who Owns One” insignia—a slogan celebrated by the Packard Motor Car Company. This detail pays homage to a bygone era when style and precision were paramount in both watches and automobiles.

At its core is a meticulously restored 19-jewel Hamilton movement, originally crafted in 1931. Known for their exceptional reliability, Hamilton movements were a cornerstone of American watchmaking during the early 20th century. This particular mechanism has been carefully restored to ensure it operates flawlessly while preserving its original craftsmanship and history.

The tumbled titanium case offers modern durability with vintage elegance. A smooth bezel, grooved titanium crown, and camel-colored leather strap complete the watch’s refined look, making it perfect for any occasion. The Packard connection—whether a gift to owners or employees—cements this piece as a timeless celebration of ingenuity and design.

Movement Manufacturer Information

The movement inside of this watch was made by Hamilton Watch Company. We call this model "The Lancaster" because the company was located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Hamilton is named after famous Pennsylvanian Alexander Hamilton and is the result of multiple re-organizations of attempted watch companies in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1892, Hamilton had a reputation for superior quality and maintained half of the railroad watch market share during some of the most prolific years of American railroad history. During World War II, Hamilton was integral to the production of accurate timepieces for the Military. Deemed "the watch that won the war," the company established an employee-run newsletter so that employees turned soldiers could keep up with life at the factory. While the original factory still stands as luxury apartments, the company stopped producing watches in the US in 1969. Hamilton now produces watches in Switzerland and is owned by the Swatch Group.
