Vortic Careers: Watchmaker

Vortic Watch Company is in need of another full-time watchmaker to work with our team in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Vortic salvages and restores antique American pocket watch movements and converts them into one-of-a-kind wristwatches.
The watchmaking position involves every step in the process from meticulously restoring the antique movements to assembling all the wristwatch components. Watchmakers are responsible for properly fine-tuning and adjusting the movements, expertly fitting and securing dials and hands, building the complete watch, and all standard quality assurance procedures.
A 4-day workweek is available from 7 am to 6 pm Monday through Thursday, or the watchmaker may elect to work a more traditional 5-day schedule Monday through Friday.
All work is done in Vortic's professional clean room environment in Fort Collins, Colorado. Requests for relocation assistance will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All positions are salaried with benefits.
Starting salary is typically $60,000 but will depend on experience. 3-5 years of watchmaking experience and a deep understanding of antique American pocket watch movements is preferred but not required. On-the-job training and apprenticeship are required for the first 6 months at a minimum regardless of experience due to Vortic's unique business model.
